2 and 1/3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp instant yeast
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
3/4 cup lukewarm water
3 tbsp sesame oil, brushing
In bowl, combine flour, yeast, baking powder, salt, oil and water. Combine – knead till smooth. Roll dough into a log – divide into 12 pieces.
Working with one at a time, covering other pieces with clean kitchen towel to stop drying out, shape piece into small ball. Gently flatten into small oval – use rolling pin – brush exposed side with sesame oil, then fold into half onto itself. Repeat with other balls – arrange on baking paper in steamer – let rest for 30 minutes – they should puff up a little. Cover the buns with a damp kitchen/dish cloth, put lid on.
In bowl on stove top, place boiling water – bring to a boil, put steamer on top – 12 minutes.
