Liver Spread / Pâté Muffins

Makes 6 muffins – or double the quantities for 12

 

½ cup Liver Pâté (heat up in microwave a little to soften)

1 teaspoon dried herbs

1 cup self-rising flour (sifted)

½ teaspoon salt

1 large egg

½ cup milk

¼ cup sunflower oil

½ - 1 teaspoon fine black pepper

All Gold tomato sauce (or other ketchup) (to spoon on top)

Grated cheese (to sprinkle on top)

 

Preheat oven to 190 oC.  Prepare a 6 muffin pan.  In a bowl, beat together the softened Liver Pâté, egg, milk, oil, salt and herbs.  Add the self-rising flour and mix gently.  Spoon into muffin pan.  Spread tomato sauce / ketchup on top of each muffin.  Sprinkle cheese on.  Bake for 20 minutes (or till skewer comes out clean.)
